Vassiliou and Talat to talk Cyprob

FORMER PRESIDENT Giorgos Vassiliou will be joined by former Turkish Cypriot leader Mehmet Ali Talat in a public discussion on the solution of the Cyprus problem next week.

The Association for Social Reform (OPEK) is organising the first such panel discussion with the participation of the two prominent personalities from both communities.

The panel discussion, titled ‘Cyprus: The Crisis and The Solution’, will take place at the Home for Cooperation on Markou Drakou Street in the buffer zone, opposite the Ledra Palace Nicosia.

The event will be on October 10, at 7pm and will be open to the public.

Following the introductory remarks by Kyriakos Pierides, president of OPEK, the key note speakers will present their views on the prospects of a solution to the Cyprus problem.

The opening speeches of the two politicians will be followed by a discussion with the participation of the audience.

Journalist Ralli Papageorgiou will coordinate the panel discussion which will be held in English.
