Couple attacked by woman’s relatives

A couple living together in Larnaca were attacked by the woman’s, father, brother, and another relative on Monday night, because they do not approve of their relationship.

The man, 45, from Aradhippou, reported to police that he and his 34-year-old partner, had been attacked in their home by her relatives who oppose their relationship.

The man also told police that they had been threatened.

They were treated in hospital for abrasions to various parts of their body and discharged.

Police arrested the three relatives who were charged in writing and released to be summoned later.
