How one 10-year-old raised $250,000 online for charity

Hey kids… meet the amazing Rui Jie. She’s only 10 years old, but, with a little help from her dad Anthony, this Singaporean primary school student managed to raise S$250,000 for 18 non-profit groups in one year!

Her giving activities were prompted by Singapore’s so-called ‘circuit breaker’ – 2020 stay-at-home measures implemented by the Singaporean government in response to the Covid pandemic.

Today, Rui Jie’s online campaigns help charities that include the SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), the Straits Times’ School Pocket Money Fund and CARE Singapore (Children-At-Risk Empowerment Association).

Feeling inspired? What worthwhile causes can you help support with your online skills?
