Feast practices: crafting Michelin-starred restaurant dinnerware

In this pre-Covid video, ceramicist Jono Pandolfi demonstrates how he and his team create 300 handcrafted plates, mugs, cups and other dinnerware for some of the finest Michelin-starred restaurants all over the world.

The New York-based artisan – whose handmade stoneware is wildly popular among restaurateurs – got started in this line of work in 2004, with the help of his friend Will Guidara, who, at the time, was employed by famous restaurateur Danny Meyer.

Later, as Guidara went on to run his own restaurants, including the Michelin-starred Eleven Madison Park and the NoMad, Pandolfi became his go-to dinnerware designer… and a highly-sought-after artisanal business was born.
