Coronavirus: Another 14 deaths attributed to Covid-19, brings total to 776

A total of 776 people died from coronavirus since the start of the pandemic, the health ministry said on Friday in a new update of data submitted to the epidemiological monitoring unit.

The additional 14 deaths attributed to Covid-19 occurred from January 9, 2021, to February 6, 2022.

In an announcement, the ministry said after recording and validating data submitted to the unit, the total number of deaths from Covid-19 until February 10, 2022, are 776 and not 762 as stated in Thursday’s announcement.

Of these, 486 (62.6 per cent) concern men and 290 (37.4 per cent) women. The average age is 76.3

The additional 14 deaths relate to:

  1. A man aged 84, who died on January 9, 2021
  2. A woman aged 79 who died on January 14, 2021
  3. A man, aged 79, who died on January 17, 2021.
  4. A man aged 64, who died on January 18, 2021
  5. A woman aged 89, who died on January 23, 2021
  6. A man aged 70, who died on December 23, 2021
  7. A woman aged 73 who died on December 26, 2021
  8. A man aged 72, who died on January 19, 2022
  9. A man aged 83, who died on January 23, 2022
  10. A woman aged 73, who died on January 27, 2022
  11. A woman aged 91 who died on January 31, 2022
  12. A woman aged 90, who died on February 3, 2021
  13. A man aged 57 who died on February 6, 2022
  14. A man aged 65, who died on February 6, 2022
