A new temporary exhibition titled What Remains opens this month at Temporary Studios in Lemba, Paphos presenting the works of six artists. Drawing on the form, light and line of the land, artists from London’s Turps Art School share their findings and engagement with the rich history and flora and fauna of Cyprus. Evocating the depth of archaeological time, they explore the traces of civilisations over millennia and reflect it through their own artistic practices.

The six artists – Min Angel, Molly Rose Butt, James Dearlove, Tracey Elizabeth Downing and duo Juliette Ezavin and Kirsty McEwan – were selected for a 32-day residency at the Cyprus College of Art, a funded placement by Grampus Heritage, an Erasmus+ partner. They are now presenting the work they created during the residency in this exhibition opening on June 18 and running until June 22.

The Cyprus College of Art has been running these placements in partnership with Grampus Heritage for the past 20 years, bringing artists at various stages of their careers to the island to explore and create a new body of work that can be developed further within their own practices. The programme is led by the director of the Cyprus College of Art, Margaret Paraskos. Director of Grampus Heritage Martin David Clark will attend the opening.
