Coronavirus: Restaurant owner fined for allowing dancing

Police booked 201 persons, including two business owners, in 24 hours from Monday until Tuesday morning for breaching coronavirus protocols.

One of the establishments is a café in Limassol in which five people were playing cards shortly after 7pm. The owner was fined €1,500 and each of the guests €300.

The second one concerns a restaurant in Famagusta. The owner was fined €4,000 for allowing guests to dance last Saturday.

Officers carried out 11,703 checks, 3,077 in Nicosia, 2,506 in Limassol, 1,728 in Larnaca, 1,120 in Paphos, 1,467 in Famagusta and 900 in the Morphou district.
