In the framework of the exhibition The Day Begins at Night by artist Lefteris Tapas that is currently on at NiMAC a series of educational programmes will be presented throughout June and July.

The programme consists of a tour for children of the current exhibition, as well as a hands-on workshop, during which the participating children will have the opportunity to use techniques applied by the artist in his practice. This educational programme is for children aged seven to 12 and will take place on June 5, 12 and 26 and on July 3, 7, 17 and 21. Limited spaces are available so interested participants should reserve a place soon at 22-797400 or [email protected].

Similarly, within the context of the Residency Programme for Performing and Live Arts at Theatro Polis OPAP NiMAC a performance titled Buttons by Georgia Andreou is coming up on June 6, 7 and 8. Held at Theatro Polis OPAP, just behind the arts centre, the performance is a piece that was born during these peculiar times. “It’s contemporary,” the artist says, “it’s of, and about, today. It was birthed inside this theatre, with a body, a musician, some buttons and a dress. It was influenced by things I observe to move in our city. By circles and walks that I took, walks I still take, and others which I imagine that I take.”
