Teenager arrested after arson of two cars

Police arrested a 15-year-old boy on Sunday suspected of setting fire to two cars in Limassol, both of which were parked in the same place and suffered damages.

According to the police, the arson of the vehicles, parked together in an open space, started shortly after 8am on Sunday.

He fire, put out by the fire brigade, also damaged two other cars parked next to the first two.

Initial examinations showed that the fire was started on purpose and examination of CCTV footage led to the 15-year-old who was found nearby and arrested.

Investigations continue while the social welfare department was informed about the teen’s involvement.
