Romanian bank fraud suspect arrested in Cyprus

A 37-year-old man wanted in Romania in connection with a bank fraud case, was arrested in Paphos, police said on Monday.

Cyprus police received information concerning the issuance of a European arrest warrant against the man by the Romanian authorities.

The warrant concerned a bank fraud case dating back to January 1, 2013.

Procedures have started for his extradition to Romania, police said.
