Two sought for Emba burglary

Paphos police are looking for two men, 33 and 27, on suspicion of breaking in and stealing 17,000 worth of items from an Emba home.

The burglary was reported to the police by the 38-year-old owner of the house, who said a large number of different items including clothing, accessories, shoes and mobile phones had been stolen from his house. The man, who submitted the complaint on June 28, estimated the value of the stolen objects to €17,000.

Police, after examining the scene, said that burglars entered through the balcony door of the house which was unlocked. They also collected evidence to try and identify the suspects.

The house did not have an alarm system, security cameras or safety locks.

A female neighbour who was questioned by police gave testimony pointing to the two suspects, both permanent residents of Cyprus.
