European basketball giants coming to Cyprus

European basketball royalty will be in Cyprus next month for the second edition of the Neofytos Chandriotis international basketball tournament.

Taking place at the Tassos Papadopoulos – Eleftheria Stadium in Nicosia, the event will take place between 9-12 September and features eight-time European champions CSKA Moscow, Israeli and Greek giants Maccabi Tel Aviv and Olympiakos, and Russian outfit Zenit St Petersburg.

The organisers are offering affordable ticket packages, for fans to be able to come and enjoy the tournament and take a close look of some of the best basketball players in the world.

The first Neofytos Chandriotis tournament was also hosted in Nicosia in September 2018.

Chandriotis was an exceptional basketball athlete and student who passed away too soon after losing his battle with cancer in 2015.

No fan card is required for this event.

Entry will be allowed only to fully vaccinated individuals and people who have recovered from Covid-19 during the last six months.

Children between the ages of 12-15 must present at the entrance a negative PCR or a rapid test, valid for 72 hours.
