Luxury stays: One&Only Nyungwe House

In this video, Grand Luxury Hotels co-founders and brothers, Ivan and Rouslan Lartisien, head for the unparalleled relaxation of Rwanda’s One&Only Nyungwe House.

Situated at the heart of a tea plantation that has been around since the 1960s, the One&Only Nyungwe House is a resort that celebrates nature and the people of Rwanda.

Redefining commitment to local improvement, the hotel hires exclusively local individuals to cultivate the tea plantations, while the leaves are sent to a local plant for further processing. Similarly, the resort brings a new dimension to the idea of wildlife safari, with guests able to take private guided treks into the deep rainforest, to interact with the region’s famous chimpanzees.

That said, the One&Only Nyungwe House is also a destination for leisure and unwinding. Simply take a seat on the terrace to relish a languorous evening of tea tasting, while keeping an eye out for adventurous mountain monkeys that have come down from the forest to wander the plantations.
