Cyprus offers firefighting help to Israel

Cyprus has expressed readiness to assist in fighting the wildfires that rage in Israel.

Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulides said in a post on Twitter that he had had a telephone conversation with his Israeli counterpart, Yair Lapid, regarding the wildfires raging near Jerusalem.

He said that “Cyprus stands ready to assist in every way possible”.
