Coronavirus: Turkish Cypriots report 140 cases, two deaths on Sunday

Two people died in the north from Covid-19 on Sunday, while a further 140 new infections were reported by the Turkish Cypriot health authorities.

According to the Kibris Postasi newspaper, a total of 11,554 tests were conducted on Sunday, from which the new infections were detected.

A total of 16,151 infections have been recorded in the north as of now.

The two new deaths bring the total recorded in the north since the outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020 to 58 in the north, with 18 of them in August alone.
