Amathus – Old Limassol exhibition travels to Ayia Napa

Andreas Efesopoulos’ exhibition titled Amathus – Old Limassol has been travelling around the island finding temporary homes in various galleries since the beginning of the summer. It is now on the road again, moving to Ayia Napa’s Thalassa Museum for a brief stay. Until September 14, museum visitors will be able to discover Efosopoulos’ 27 oil on canvas paintings that act as a tour of the historical and archaeological wealth of the ancient site of Amathus.

The artist created these pieces from 1994 to 2020 through which he offers a dynamic and sensitive view of Amathus.

Welcoming the exhibition to Ayia Napa, an opening event will be held on Friday at 8pm. The works though have already been presented at the Municipal Arts Centre of Limassol – Papadaki Warehouses and Gloria Gallery in Nicosia and are scheduled to be displayed in numerous public spaces around the island before joining the collection of the Limassol Municipal Gallery.
