President declares net worth of €266,000

President Nicos Anastasiades’ net wealth comes to €266,000, while his deposits in banks amount to €115,000, according to his assets and income declaration.

The 2021 capital statements of the president, government ministers, other senior state officials and the House president were published on the parliament’s website on Monday. It follows the publication of MPs’ statements last week.

According to his statement, Anastasiades is ‘worth’ some €50,000 more compared to March 2018, when he last filed a statement.

The president declared immovable property – a number of land plots and two apartments purchased in the 1980s – valued at €66,000; deposits of €115,000; and cars worth €85,000.

He has paid off the bank loans he took out to buy the two apartments. He currently holds no debt.

Anastasiades owns shares in Hellenic Bank, Minerva Insurance, Agros Development Company, Woolworth, Apollon Football and Apoel.

Meanwhile Kyriakos Kokkinos, Deputy minister for Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, declared owning three homes: one currently valued at €1 million, the second €500,000, and the third €1.2 million.

He also owns four vehicles, one of which a BMW 740LD he bought for €100,000, and an Audi Q5 for €70,000.

His bank deposits total €990,000. Kokkinos also declared shares worth €100,000 in a hotel in Montenegro.
