Arrest after cannabis and wild birds found on Limassol property

A 56-year-old has been arrested by the drugs squad after police found 37 cannabis plants and a number of dead wild birds in his home in the Limassol district.

According to police, on Monday afternoon drug-squad officers searched the man’s house and confiscated bird-trapping paraphernalia and 13 wild birds from a freezer.

Inside a storage area they found 34 small plastic containers with cannabis seeds and during a search of his property outside, they found 37 growing plants.

The 56-year-old was arrested.
