Combining contemporary music with contemporary photography, Achroun-Aosmon is an interdisciplinary project that brings together artists from Cyprus, Romania, Greece and the UK at an event presented by Technopolis 20 on November 6 at Attikon Multicultural Space.

Based on Christina Athinodorou’s Aosmon for Solo Violin, eight photographers pick up the torch to explore how concepts and sounds inspire them to produce black and white images. The photo exhibition will open that evening displaying the works of Charalambos Nicolaides, Eleni Onasoglou, Rafael Ianos, Rita Tilkeridou, Thanos Savvidis, Louloudia Gredi, Corneliu Sarion and Simos Charalambous that were influenced by music.

The evening will begin with a brief pre-concert talk with the artists led by musicologist Galina Dimova-Georgieva. Then a concert will follow featuring music by Francis Poulenc, Christina Athinodorou and Krzysztof Penderecki and performed on stage by violinists Alda Dizdari, Sorin Alexandru Horlea and the young musicians Alice Feizullova, Sergios Argyrides, Ioannis Christodoulides and Maxim Roslov. The exhibition will remain open between November 7 and 12 inviting viewers to explore musical inspirations in black and white.
