49-year-old dies from injuries sustained in traffic accident

A 49-year-old man, Charalambos Terlas from Limassol, died on Saturday after being critically injured in a traffic accident on October 2, police announced on Sunday.

Terlas was driving on Mouson street in Limassol in the early hours in October when he crashed with a car driven by a 19-year-old at the crossing with Filellinon street.

The two cars were stopped when they hit a metal fence around an adjacent plot.

Both drivers were taken to Limassol general hospital where the younger was treated for a broken nose.

Terlas suffered a serious head injury and was taken to Nicosia general where he had been treated in the ICU. Doctors at the time said his condition was extremely critical.
