Turkish Cypriot girl rushed to Makarios hospital after accident in north

An 11-year-old Turkish Cypriot girl was rushed to Makarios children’s hospital from the north after her heart stopped following an accident, reports said on Monday.

The hospital’s paediatrics chief Dr Avraam Elia told local media that the girl was transferred from a hospital in the north to Makarios hospital at the request of her parents, with the approval of the technical committee on health.

She is currently being treated in the ICU.
