Man dies in Paphos road crash

Police said Saturday a 23-year-old man from Argaka was killed and a second man, 21, was critically injured in an early morning car crash on the Prodromi to Latsi road in Paphos.

Charalambos Charalambos was a passenger in a car driven by the 21-year-old Paphos man that was involved in a 3.15am crash with a second vehicle.

The 21-year-old and the driver of the second vehicle, 18, were rushed to Paphos hospital. Because of the severity of his condition, doctors transferred the 21-year-old to Nicosia hospital. His condition is critical.

The 18-year-old was being treated in Paphos and his condition was stable.

Preliminary examination of the scene showed that none of the passengers in the two vehicles had been wearing their seatbelts.
