Coronavirus: 15 individuals, 5 shop owners booked

Police reported 15 individuals and five shop owners for violating the measures aiming to contain the spread of Covid-19.

A police spokesperson told CNA that in the last 24 hours ending on 06:00 local time Friday, the Force carried out 2,644 checks throughout the government-controlled areas.

In Nicosia a total of 1,129 checks were carried out with no report issued, in Limassol 247 with six individuals and four shop owners booked, in Larnaca two individuals were reported following 452 checks, in Paphos two individuals and one shop owner were booked after 110 checks, in Famagusta the police reported five individuals after 288 checks and in the Morphou region 303 checks were carried out with no reports issued.

Furthermore, the Traffic Departments and the Port and Marine Police carried out 98 and 17 checks respectively with no fines issued.
