A 34-year-old man has been arrested to facilitate police investigations into a case of burglary, theft, and malicious damage.

According to a police statement an arrest warrant was pending against the 34-year-old, based on testimony that had emerged previously in a case of the theft of a catalyst from a vehicle in April.

A 29-year-old man had been arrested for the theft when he was caught at the scene attempting to steal the catalyst in a fenced-off used car lot for abandoned vehicles in Larnaca.

The 29-year-old was found in possession of the car catalyst and various tools.
