Man arrested over bakery robbery

Police in Paphos have arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with a robbery committed at 4.30am on Sunday at a bakery in Yeroskippou.

According to Paphos police spokesperson Michalis Nicolaou, as many as four people were involved in the robbery.

However, because they were wearing hoodies covering their faces while committing the crime, three of them are yet to be identified.

According to Nicolaou, one of the four perpetrators was acting as the lookout for the other three, who entered the 24-hour bakery with bats and left with around €1,100.

Investigations are still ongoing to identify the other people involved in the robbery.
