Biker couple critical after collision with car in Paphos

A 37-year-old and a 30-year-old, a man and a woman, are in critical condition after being injured in a road collision in Paphos on Saturday, police said.

The accident happened on Chlorakas Avenue around 10.15pm on Saturday night when the motorcycle they were riding collided with a car driven by a 38-year-old.

The two motorbike riders were injured and taken to Paphos general hospital where the 30-year-old woman underwent surgery. She was then transferred to Nicosia for further treatment.

Her companion was admitted to Paphos ICU. Both are critical doctors said.

The car driver was treated at Paphos A&E and discharged.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
