Weather forecast: sunshine as high temperature to return on Monday

Temperatures will remain at around the average for the time of year for a clear day on Sunday with a high of around 37C expected in Nicosia with temperatures of up to 33C on the coasts and 31C in the mountains, the met office said.

Fog may form in the early evening with nighttime temperatures set to drop to 24C inland, 23C on the coast and 20C in the mountains.

However, on Monday the temperature inland is again set to hit 40C but will fall to the average on Tuesday and Wednesday.
