Police rule arson in Limassol car fire case

Police in Limassol established that a vehicle fire that broke out in the early hours of Tuesday morning was due to malicious action.

According to the police, the fire was noticed around 4:30 am, while the vehicle was parked outside the 50-year-old owner’s home in Zakaki.

The fire service was called to the scene and from examinations it was established that an act of arson had been committed.

Damage to the vehicle, which is not covered by insurance, is estimated at around €3,000.

Police cordoned off the scene and are examining CCTV footage.
