The Karaiskakio Foundation makes Cyprus proud, Health Minister Michalis Hadjipantelas said during a visit there speaking about its bone marrow donor record which is, per capita, the largest in the world.

The minister pledged his support and assured the foundation’s president Popi Kanari and CEO Pavlos Kosteas he would work towards solving long-term problems with the running of the foundation.

The Karaiskakio Foundation is a non-profit founded with the goal of organising and managing a bone marrow donor record.

Today, it aims at further development of its laboratory and scientific infrastructure, the bone marrow donor and the umbilical cord blood record, clinical haematology and providing support to leukaemia patients.
