UNSG to meet President on September 22

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon will meet President Anastasiades in New York on September 22.
Anastasiades will travel to the US to attend the UN 69th Session of the General Assembly.
Meanwhile, Ban has not made any reference to the Cyprus problem in his annual report to the United Nations General Assembly.
The 80-page report, released this week, focuses on the issues of Ukraine, Gaza, Syria and the various crises in the African continent. It also elaborates on the goals of the millennium and the climate change.
The Cyprus problem is on the agenda of the 69th Session of the General Assembly at the request of the Cyprus government.
Ban will meet Anastasiades on September 22 at 5pm New York time.
Earlier Anastasiades will host a working lunch for the five Security Council permanent members and will have a meeting with the Vice President of the Greek government and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos.
