Date set for TEPAK rector court plea

TEPAK rector Elpida Keravnou

The rector of the Technological University (TEPAK), facing trial on charges of malfeasance, is to enter a plea before Limassol district on May 28.

Rector Elpida Keravnou is accused of abusing authority, influencing an authority, drafting a document without authority, and circulating it.

She has denied any wrongdoing.

The TEPAK rector was arrested, then released, after claims she had interfered with the committee assessing lecturers between September and October 2014.

She is suspected of falsifying the minutes of a committee meeting tasked with deciding on promotions.
