The week is filled with lots of Greek singers coming over to spread Greek Christmas cheer.
Among all the Greek acts is our own Anna Vissi – well not so local anymore, but still with a Cypriot heart – who will sing at the THOC new theatre building in Nicosia on Tuesday at 9pm.
Vissi, who moved to Greece in 1973 to pursue a professional career as a singer, is famously known for her Cypriot origins and her performances at the Eurovision song contest, where she has represented both Cyprus and Greece.
The singer is no stranger to big venues, like the Albert Hall, and large audiences, so when she sings some of her most famous hits and songs from her upcoming album Synentefxi (Interview), she will bring on stage all her experience and all her years of filling the air with a great sound for this one very unique post-Christmas treat.
The concert is in support of the Sophia Foundation for Children and the ticket price includes a cocktail party that will take place after the concert in the foyer of the theatre with food, drink, live music and DJs.
Live charity concert by the Greek singer. December 29. THOC New Theatre Building, Nicosia. 9pm. €60/50. Tel: 70-000787
