Charred body found in burning car

A charred body was found in a burning car in Aradippou on Thursday morning, the Fire Service said.

In a statement, the service said it received a call shortly before 11am that dry weeds had been burning in an area near the Ayion Panton monastery in Aradippou.

Two fire engines from the Larnaca fire station rushed to the scene.

Upon arrival, they found a vehicle burning. In the vehicle was a charred body.

Police and the Fire Service continue to investigate.
