Tourist injured in water sport accident

A Ukrainian holidaymaker was injured on Tuesday, by the propeller of a water sports vessel in the sea area off Peyia, Paphos.

The accident happened at around 1.30pm when the tourist was swimming in the Saint George area where it appears he was unaware of the presence of the boat.

An ambulance was called to the scene, taking the man to A&E at Paphos general hospital where, according to information available, he is being treated for injuries to his side.
