Pack of stray dogs causes highway accident, three injured

Three people were seriously injured on the Nicosia-Limassol highway in the early hours of Sunday near the Moni exit when a pack of stray dogs caused a taxi to crash into the barrier and injuring the driver.

A rental car, which was heading in the same direction hit the taxi resulting in injuries to the two occupants from Romania.

The accident, which saw the highway closed for two hours,  happened at around 2am when the taxi driver, 39, tried to avoid the pack of stray dogs crossing the highway.

All three injured were taken by ambulance to Limassol hospital. Their condition, though serious is not critical, CNA reported.
