Two dead in head-on collision, one a mother of 4 (Updated)

Two people died on Thursday when the cars they were driving collided head-on.

The accident happened shortly before 7pm on the Paphos-Polis road.

Evgenia Louka, 41, hailing from Polis Chrysochous, was the first to succumb to her injuries.  She was driving a saloon.

She was a mother of four.

The other driver, 31-year-old Grigoris Andreou, was rushed to Paphos general hospital for surgery. He later succumbed as well.

Police are investigating the precise circumstances of the accident.
