Six-month match ban for Omonia fan

Nicosia district court has ordered a man, 47, pay an €800 fine and be barred from all Omonia matches for six months, following his arrest before an Aek-Omonia match in March.

The man was arrested for attacking a man on March 17, 2018, police said on Wednesday. The court issued their decision on Friday.

The man has been barred from any area where Omonia is playing for six months including the team’s European and international matches, or games organised by Uefa.

During those six months, the man is required to appear at his nearest police station half an hour before any Omonia match begins and half an hour after the end of an Omonia match, where he will be required to stay for approximately 30 minutes.
