Arrest after ecstasy tablets found

A 19-year-old resident of Nicosia was arrested on Thursday evening to facilitate investigations into an alleged case of illegal possession of drugs and an offensive weapon.

The man was searched in the yard of a Nicosia church where police carried out checks at around 6pm.

Officers found 45 ecstasy tablets, seven grammes of cannabis, 0.2 grammes of cocaine, some LSD, a knife and the amount of €340 in his possession.
