Coronavirus: Ten fines after 4,396 checks

Police fined nine people and one business owner for failing to abide by coronavirus protocols after 4,396 checks nationwide.

Between 6am on Wednesday and 6am on Thursday, officers carried out 549 checks and fined two people in Nicosia and one in Limassol after 785 checks, and one more individual as well as a business owner in Larnaca after 635 checks.

Paphos police fined four people after 850 checks, and Famagusta officers fined one person after 772 checks.

No violations were reported in Morphou after 395 checks nor by the traffic and port and marine police after 358 and 52 checks respectively.
