The impact of sea-level rise amid shrinking action time window

Globally, around 100 million people live within one metre of a high-tide level, and by the end of the century scientists predict that sea levels will rise beyond that point.

In this video, oceanographer Professor John Church explains the sobering implications of sea-level change, urging greater action to reduce greenhouse gases before it is too late, but also to adapt to the planet’s shifting environmental conditions, given there is no time to waste.
