A new, modern bridge will connect Mamonia with Archimandrita village in Diarizos to serve farmers and residents of Paphos, district officer Mary Lambrou said.

The construction of the bridge will cost an estimated €450,000.

Lambrou said that studies have already been completed and a consultation with the environment department is underway.

Another project is being promoted for the landscaping of the community buildings at a cost of around €70,000.

Those projects will soon be proposed to be included in the annual state budgets.

Meanwhile, in the framework of this year’s state budget, infrastructure projects are underway that concern the improvement of the road network, including agricultural roads, as well as €57,000 repairs to the Archimandrita-Mamonia road.
