Man in Nicosia arrested for drug possession

A 59-year-old was arrested in Nicosia on Wednesday after members of the drug squad Ykan found five strips of paper allegedly infused with a synthetic drug in his car.

Additionally, they also found two bottles of hard liquor and an undisclosed amount of cash.

After arresting the individual, officers headed to his house where they found another five paper strips similar to the ones found in his car, as well as more cash.

The 59-year-old is currently in custody and awaiting his remand and trial.
