Arrest in connection with theft of ice-making machine

Paphos police on Sunday arrested a 40-year-old man in connection with the theft of an ice-making machine worth €3,500.

The machine was stolen from outside a restaurant in Paphos on December 29.

From CCTV footage, the owner established that a van had driven up to the premises and loaded the ice machine.

The restaurant owner found the van in a street and notified police.

Initially, a 36-year-old man was arrested and questioned.

During the investigation, evidence emerged which pointed to the involvement of the 40-year-old against whom an arrest warrant was issued.

Subsequently, the 36-year-old was released.
