Coronavirus: Rapid testing sites, programme to change in February

The health ministry said on Tuesday its rapid Covid testing will be interrupted from Thursday to Sunday due to the government’s decision to ease restrictions.

Around 40 testing units, with a screening capacity of between 10,000 and 15,000 people, will be in operation from February 1.

Testing locations for Wednesday are as follows:

Limassol, 8.30am to 4.30pm, Panayia Chrysaifilitissa church, Ayia Fyla; Panayia Evengelistria church, Kato Polemidia; Petros and Pavlos and Artemios church, Kapsalos; Panayia Chrysopolitissa church, Ypsonas; Ayia Varvara church, Zakaki.

Larnaca: 8.30am-4.30pm, Ayios Georgios Kontos church parking lot; Sklavenitis parking lot, Spyros Kyprianou Avenue; Lidl parking lot, Aradippou; park next to Bank of Cyprus and Stelios supermarket, Livadhia.

Nicosia: 8.30am-4.30pm, Ayia Sophia church, Strovolos; Ayia Paraskevi church, Lakatamia; Panayia Evangelistria church, Palouriotissa; Sklavenitis parking lot, Latsia; Apostolos Andreas church, Platy, Aglandjia; State fairgrounds, east entrance; Dhali health centre; and between 9am-4.30pm, Panayia Trahona church, Strovolos.

Paphos: 8.30am-4.30pm, Apostolos Pavlou and Varnava church, Ellados avenue.

Famagusta: spiritual centre next to the Metropolis.

In addition, there will be mobile units operating in private businesses and public sector departments across the island.
