Arrest after antiquities found in home

Police said on Thursday they have arrested a 40-year-old Paphos man on suspicion of possession of drugs and antiquities.

The man was detained following a search of his home where police said they found about two grammes of cannabis and 47 vials of a pharmaceutical, as well as two clay amphorae, which were later determined to be antiquities.

Police said the suspect faced charges in connection with drugs possession, illegal importation, and possession of a pharmaceutical without permission, and illegal possession of antiquities.
