Arrest for attack that took place on Saturday

Larnaca police on Wednesday evening arrested a 27-year-old man wanted in connection with a robbery and assault, crimes committed last Saturday. He was charged and released on Thursday morning.

The arrest came after police shared his photo with the public to help locate him.

The robbery and attack took place at noon on January 30.

A 34-year-old man reported to police that while he was in his shop in Larnaca, he was attacked by three people who beat him up and stole money he had in his jacket.

A second suspect, aged 43, who was wanted for the same case, was arrested on Tuesday evening. He was questioned, charged and released on Wednesday morning, Larnaca police said.
