Limassol resident paid €21,000 for excavator he never received

Police warned the public to be aware of Internet fraudsters after a Limassol resident paid close to €21,000 for an excavator he never received.

Police said the man filed a complaint saying he had transferred €20,785 to the account of a company in Spain for the purchase of an excavator he had found online.

The man contacted the company through email. All contact was lost immediately after he transferred the money to the account.
