22 interchangeable spring outfit ideas, inspired by Van Gogh

In this video, YouTuber Daria Andronescu, who specialises in sustainable, capsule wardrobes and ethical shopping, offers up 22 ideas for interchangeable outfits, inspired by the springtime colour palette of Vincent van Gogh’s painting ‘Almond Blossom’.

The painting was a gift to Van Gogh’s brother and sister-in-law to mark the birth of their son. Almond trees were one of the artist’s favourite subjects to paint, and he borrowed the subject, bold outlines and positioning of the tree in the picture plane from Japanese printmaking.

The resulting spring-summer capsule wardrobe consists of five tops, four bottoms and two dresses, resulting in 22 interchangeable outfits for spring. Learn more about this particular capsule wardrobe here.
