Coronavirus: 112 booked, 8,365 checks

Police booked 112 persons for violating coronavirus protocols in 24 hours from Thursday until Friday morning.

One of them is the owner of a petrol station in Paphos who was fined because he and his employees had not taken rapid tests.

In total, 8,365 checks were carried out, 1,815 in Nicosia, 1,593 in Limassol, 1,460 in Larnaca, 875 in Paphos, 1,210 in Famagusta and 715 in Morphou.

41 persons were fined in Nicosia, 33 in Limassol, 13 in Larnaca, 15 in Paphos and six in Famagusta.

Traffic police booked another four as the result of 687 inspections.
