The fire service and police on Saturday morning rescued an injured man who was at the Kalidonia waterfall nature trail in Platres.

Authorities were alerted at around 9.30am about an injured person at the nature trail. Officers from the Platres police station and fireman of the Saittas station answered the call and located the 68-year-old with injuries to his leg, arms and head.

He was transferred to Platres where an ambulance took him to the Limassol general hospital for treatment.

Both he and his wife thanked the police and the fire service for acting promptly and assisting them, police said.
